'You're the Chef' Episode Wins Bronze Paragon Award

An episode of "You're the Chef," Pennsylvania College of Technology's public television cooking series, won a Bronze Award in the College Video Program category of the 2004 Paragon Awards competition sponsored by the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations. The award recognizes excellence in communications at community, junior and technical colleges.

'You're the Chef' episode wins bronze Paragon AwardThe "Appetizing Artichokes" episode featured co-hosts Chef Paul Mach, assistant professor of food and hospitality management/culinary arts; and Tom Speicher, broadcast productions coordinator, shopping for artichokes and other produce at Wegmans in Williamsport and preparing Sauteed Beef Tenderloin Tips with Artichokes, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and Kalijira Rice; and Stuffed Artichokes Le Jeune Chef.

The episode also included a "Cooking Key" segment on artichokes hosted by Rachel S. Hall, a culinary arts technology student from Altoona.

"You're the Chef" airs locally on WVIA on Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30 p.m. and in more than 16 million homes nationwide.
