‘Women in Sports Day’ Celebrated on Campus


Women in Sports Day observed during Penn's Inn event Lady Wildcats, others gather to celebrate women's sports at Penn College Women's basketball coach (and featured speaker) Alison Tagliaferri awaits her turn on the dais Women in Sports Day was observed Sunday in Penn’s Inn, where more than 70 current female athletes, recruits, coaches and special guests celebrated women’s sports at Penn College and honored this year’s theme of “All In.” Featured speaker Alison Tagliaferri, Wildcat women’s basketball coach, talked about Title IX and the women who have had the most influence in her life. Three of those women were in attendance: the coach’s mother, Holly, and grandmothers Jennie Tagliaferri and Marian Webster.
