'Cat Tales Baseball The Wildcats split their season-opening doubleheader with Westmoreland Community College. Penn College hit the ball well in both games, rapping out 26 hits, but the combined six-hit shutout pitching of Christian Worth (Williamsport) and Austin Upright (Montoursville)proved to be the difference in the second-game victory. James Woodring (Waynesboro) went 4-for-5 at the plate in the two games.

Right back in action the next day, Penn College dropped both of its games to Westmoreland. Cody Lytle (Watsontown) went 3-for-5 in the twin bill, with two runs batted in.

"We played excellent defense. Our pitching is just young and it's like spring training for us right now," said Rees Daneker, coach of the Wildcats.
