Wildcats Lunch With Lady Lions' Coaches

    Wildcats meet Lions in Penn State visit Coach Alison Tagliaferri (far right, second row in photo) and members of her Lady Wildcat basketball team recently had lunch with the coaching staff of the Penn State women's team. Head coach Coquese Washington is in the front center, former Penn State player Maren Walseth is second from left and former Millersville University player Kia Damon is at right. Both are assistant coaches to Washington, who played at Notre Dame (and was a member of the NCAA Division I national championship team in 2001) andin the Women's National Basketball Association, where she also was the first president of the WNBA Players Association. "I grew up watching both her and Maren Walseth when I was in high school, so it was really cool to meet them," Tagliaferri said. "The girls got to ask them all kinds of questions and she even told us anytime we want to go to a game or practice to just call."
