'Cat TalesBaseball Five games over three days, five victories. The Wildcats just keep on rolling.

In a Friday doubleheader sweep of Penn State McKeesport, Matt Francis (Williamsport) went 5-for-6 at the plate with a home run, double and five runs batted in. In a single-game win Saturday over the same team, Cody Lytle (Warrior Run) went 4-for-4 with four RBI. Wrapping things up in a scrimmage on Sunday against West Virginia's club team, Mike Daciw (Sun Valley) went 3-for-4 in the first game and freshman pitcher Brian Bell (Butler) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning of the second game and got the mound win. James Woodring (Waynesboro) and Devon Liquori (Hawley) each went 2-for-3 at the plate in that game.

Softball Although pitcher Jennifer Vanderpool (Towanda) only allowed two hits in the first game of a doubleheader loss against Penn State Hazleton, three Lady Wildcat errors hurt. "Unearned runs killed us," coach Roger Harris remarked afterward, "but we'll be OK."

Men's Volleyball Penn College dropped its first two games against Kutztown, but rallied to win the next three to pull out the victory. "(Kutztown) was pumped up and thought it could beat us. They came out and took it to us," said Wildcat coach Wes Strayer.
