The director of Penn College’s Weatherization Training Center is among the speakers for The West Branch Chapter of the Pennsylvania Library Association’s “Going Green to Save Green’ workshop on campus from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday. John E. Manz will address “Weatherization and the Environment” during his morning program in the Thompson Professional Development Center, which will focus on the WTC’s role in meeting the technician-training demands fueled by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Other workshop speakers include Frederick Stoss, of SUNY Buffalo, who will provide a history of the “green” movement in libraries and discuss environmentally friendly services; Megan Epler, from SEDA-COG’s Energy Recource Center, scheduled to talk about energy conservation; and Kitty Wunderly, of the Centre County Library and Historical Museum, who will recount how a 1814 building became more efficient and saved money through an energy audit.
