Wal-Mart Makes Scholarship Donation to Penn College

Pennsylvania College of Technology will be able to offer additional financial assistance for a deserving student, thanks to a recent gift from the Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Joann Kay, executive director of the Penn College Foundation, recently received a check from Wal-Mart for $500.

“The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a financially needy student to assist with educational costs,” said Kay. “We appreciate the generosity of Wal-Mart for assisting us in this endeavor.”

Kay said she worked with management at the Wal-Mart store in Montoursville to request a donation from the Bentonville, Ark.-based corporation.
