An opening reception will take place Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. After the opening, viewing hours for the show will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m., or by appointment. The gallery will host additional viewing hours Dec. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., in conjunction with Williamsport's First Friday event. The Gallery at Penn College is in Room 202 of the Bush Campus Center. All exhibits are free and open to the public.

Veedell, a resident of San Francisco, has been selected for residencies in Japan, India and Canada, and much of her work is inspired by those travels.

"As I begin a new series of paintings, I work to create landscape paintings that transcend the traditional sense of landscape and become something more alluring," Veedell explains. "I dissolve the form into color and light, leaving only what I consider to be the essence of nature."

In addition to exhibits in California, Veedell has displayed her work at galleries in New York City; Tokyo; Houston; and Kerala, India; among other locations.

Her education includes graduate studies at New York University and a bachelor of fine arts degree from Texas A&M University.
