Two Helicopters Visit Lumley Aviation Center

Students at Penn College's Lumley Aviation Center in Montoursvillehad an opportunity to view two helicopters on Thursday. An MD 500 from AGROTORS Inc. in Gettysburg (left) visited before resuming power-line inspections for PPL. The pilot spoke about the helicopter's maneuverability, uses and maintenance issues. The second was a BK-117 Life Flight helicopter from Keystone Helicopters Inc., flying out of Williamsport. Thataircraft is primarily maintained in Wilkes-Barre by Jeffery S. Gazey, a 2002Penn College graduate. The pilot answered students' questions about maintenance and reliability of the helicopter's systems. ( Photos by William F.
