Throughout his stay, Wickhoff talked with classes about wine pairing and the flavors and origins of Austrian wine. Wickhoff, managing director of Premium Estates of Austria, travels the world to promote wines of Austria's top producers. He worked as a sommelier and wine buyer on several continents in some of the world's finest properties. The gala event yielded a hands-on educational experience for both culinary arts and baking and pastry arts students, who prepared the food selections, and hospitality management students who staffed the dining room.
