Wickhoff, managing director of Premium Estates of Austria, travels the world to promote wines of Austria’s top producers. He worked as a sommelier and wine buyer on several continents in some of the world’s finest properties. His visit concluded Wednesday with “An Austrian Food and Wine Tasting,” a fundraising event to benefit the college’s international programs. The gala event yielded a hands-on educational experience for both culinary arts and baking and pastry arts students, who prepared the food selections, and hospitality management students who staffed the dining room.
