Three Pennsylvania College of Technology women softball players have earned post-season honors.

Lindsay Riglin, a sophomore pitcher from Bellefonte, has been named to the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association All-State Team, while freshmen Erin Mutchler (Williamsport) and Lynn Hirthler (Council Rock) received all-Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference accolades.

"Lindsay not only performed very, very well for us as a pitcher, but as far as being able to play any position in which she was put. She's an all-around athlete that you could put in any position and she gave you 110 percent," said Lady Wildcats coach Roger Harris.

During her team's 8-6 season, Riglin set a Penn College single-season record with 49 strikeouts, including seven during her no-hit, no-walk effort against Delaware County Community College.

"I was very proud and fortunate to have a player of her expertise. I only wish I had another year to spend with her," Harris added of Riglin.

Commenting on Mutchler and Hirthler, Harris said, "They combined for at least 45 to 50 percent of the hits on the team. They both had speed, but, unfortunately, we couldn't use all of that because they played injured 80 percent of the season. They were very well-rounded, aggressive and talented players, both of whom I hope to have back next season."
