High school students taking part in Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week, in the midst of a six-day session on main campus, were introduced to Penn College's far-reaching "degrees that work" during a tour Wednesday. In the 32-year-old program, young women and men are assigned to competing companies engaged in the simulated manufacture of such items as cellphones, coats and toothbrushes that experience many of the same challenges and business decisions as real-life corporations. A number of motivational speakers and business leaders (all of them donating their time to PFEW) have enlightened and entertained participants, who wrap up their visit Friday with stockholders' presentations and a closing banquet and dance.
