Penn College’s School of Health Sciences and its surgical technology program join in observing National Surgical Technologist Week (Sept. 21-27). The surgical technologist is an allied health professional who provides care to surgical patients throughout an operative procedure. It is an occupation that requires attention to detail and precise manual dexterity. Surgical technologists play an integral part of the surgical team to ensure patient safety and that the surgery has been conducted under optimal conditions. Please help the school celebrate National Surgical Technologist Week to honor these professionals.
