Subcommittee Shares Tips to Save Money, Energy


In Celebration of National Energy Awareness Month, Penn College’s Energy Conservation Subcommittee shares these tips from Earth911.com: 1. Storing filled containers of water in your refrigerator will have the same effect as extra food taking up space. Each time the door is opened,warm, outside air fills theopen space, replacing cool air from inside. Withadditionalopen space in your refrigerator,more energy isused to maintain the inside temperature. 2. Safety plugs in electrical outlets help keep outside air out and reduce heating costs. These two simple tips save energy and money!
