Students Transform Ice to Art

Student gouges details into goldfish sculpture. Carving begins with sawing away large blocks of ice. Chef Frank M. Suchwala offers instruction on the sculptures. Students from the School of Hospitality’s artistic buffet course took to the ice Wednesday morning on the patio outside the Susquehanna Room. Under the direction of Frank M. Suchwala, instructor of hospitality management and culinary arts, the students carved goldfish sculptures from blocks of ice.
