Students to Cater New York Winery Event

On Sept. 29 and 30, Penn College’s catering class will again provide food at the annual Gourmet Harvest Festival at Hunt Country Vineyards in Branchport, N.Y., on the western flank of Keuka Lake. The students will be accompanied by chefs Michael J. Ditchfield, the catering class instructor, and Monica J. Lanczak and Paul Mach, who will offer cooking demonstrations. In addition to the extensive food menu offered by the Penn College students, the event will include grape stomping, a wine-tasting mini-workshop, tours of the wine-making facilities and the vineyards (by way of Belgian-horse-pulled wagon), as well as live music and crafters.
