The second annual Quad College and University Business Plan Challenge is open to full- or part-time students at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Lycoming College, Mansfield University and Lock Haven University.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to sharpen business skills, refine business concepts, get feedback from business experts, build resumes and possibly win cash prizes.

During the competition,students will have the opportunity to learn how to taketheir ideas from concept to reality, experience real-world business-development conditions, and honetheir presentation skills. In addition, iftheir idea qualifiesthem as a finalist,they will get advisory support to developtheir plan.

The first-place winner will receive $10,000, plus the possibility to receive seed money from the Ben Franklin Technology PArtners, assistance from the Williamsport/Lycoming Keystone Innovation Zone and a panel of area business leaders to assist withthe venture.

Two manufacturing and technology prizes of $7,500 and $5,000, sponsored by the Williamsport/Lycoming KIZ, also will be awarded. William J. Davis, plastics and polymer engineering student at Penn College, was awarded $5,000 as a winner in the competition last year.
