Students Give Back to Their Community on ‘Civility Saturday’

Pickens, Student Activities’ assistant director for programming, took part in a community-service project at the Williamsport YWCA on Saturday afternoon. Despite more than a touch of fall in the air, the group rolled up its collective sleeves to repaint driveway and parking-lot lines, among other maintenance at the 815 W. Fourth St. facility. Penn College students routinely engage in civic work, whether through school-related projects or in “Civility Saturday” serviceto local nonprofit agencies. Participating students were Bessie O’Brien, Laura Gair, Temilade Agboola, Cameron Cheke, Bradley Jackson, Kevin McGillicuddy, Jamillia Dillingham, John Gearhart and Alaina Mayberry.
