Student Presenters Awarded Scholarships From Regional Chapter

ASHRAE Student Night participants Five students in Penn College's four-year heating, ventilation and air conditioning design technology major attended a recent meeting of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. In addition to presenting their senior capstone projects at the chapter's April 18 "Student Night" in Harrisburg, two of the students Thomas J. Hughes, of Easton, president of the Penn College ASHRAE branch, and Christopher D. Banke, of Cambridge, Md., branch vice president each received a $500 ASHRAE Central Chapter Scholarship. Hughes presented a public school design, and Banke and Timothy Kinneman, of Aberdeen, N.Y., outlined an office building with ice plant attached. Also attending were students Tyler L. Rice, of Trumbull, Conn., and Tyler A. Schaeffer, of Kutztown.
