Student Branch of Professional Association to Host Training Seminar

The student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers at Pennsylvania College of Technology will host a training seminar on Nov. 10 with a representative of National Instruments.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about modeling, designing and building custom-measurement and control applications using graphical programming with National Instruments' LabView software.
Though seating is limited, the event is open to students from Penn College, Bucknell University and The Pennsylvania State University, as well as local professionals and high-school teachers in electronics and computer sciences.
The three-hour seminar is free and will be conducted by Casey Gavinski, National Instruments' district sales manager for eastern Pennsylvania.
Originally from northeastern Pennsylvania, Gavinski earned an electrical engineering degree from Drexel University, after which he went to work for National Instruments in Texas and New Jersey before returning to Pennsylvania.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Room 1056 of the Student and Administrative Services Center on Penn College's main campus.
