Sports records, like rules, are made to be broken.

But a record-setting effort by Lenny Pasquale a Collision Repair student and member of the Wildcat co-ed bowling team will stand forever.

"I realized around the seventh frame that I was really throwing the ball well, and, with a little luck, this could be my day," Pasquale told PCToday of his Nov. 5 perfect game during competition in Luzerne County.

Pasquale's accomplishment was his first perfect game, as well as the first ever thrown in Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference history. And, because you simply cannot roll better than a 300 game in bowling, the record will never be topped.

(The previous high game in the EPCC was 299, bowled nearly a dozen years ago.)

"When I was waiting to bowl that 10th frame, I was sooooooo nervous. Everyone in the entire bowling alley was standing behind my lane . . . Close to 100 people, I'm guessing," the Fayette County resident said. "My teammates were very supportive, even though I just met them that day."

Relief came with the 12th consecutive strike, as did the congratulations from his team and all of the other teams in the tournament at Nanticoke.

"I have been bowling for 15 years, and that dream of watching that 12th strike fall finally happened," Pasquale said. "And the feeling was even better than I ever imagined."

The Pennsylvania College of Technology bowling team, coached by Lisa Worth, will next compete in the Lehigh-Carbon Tournament on Wednesday.
