The Heavy Construction Equipment faculty at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently selected student award winners for the school year.

Ryan W. Peck, Montoursville, received the "Operator of the Year Award" and Craig M. Plowman, Cooperstown, received the "Mechanic of the Year Award."

Benjamin H. Eldred, assistant professor of Heavy Construction Equipment Technology, said Peck, who is in the Heavy Construction Equipment Technology associate's degree program, "was chosen based upon his service to the College and for being the most improved operator during his field-operation courses."

Plowman, a student in the Heavy Construction Equipment Technician certificate program, was selected "for showing outstanding ability as an apprentice heavy construction equipment technician in training," Eldred said.
