Student-Athletes Share Love of Reading With Elementary Pupils

Rachel Emmons, Dan Shaffer and Clint Hinton performed a Readers' Theatre, then joined Michael Tompakov, Paula Karine Monteiro, Shane Burridge, Trisha Moser, Brandy Krause and Garrett Hornung for a performance of "Daisy-Head Mayzie." The Wildcats variously representing the tennis, men's and women's soccer, archery, wrestling, women's volleyball, softball and baseball teams then went back to students' classrooms to read books especially selected by teachers. "It was a lot of fun for all (Sheridan students, teachers and Penn College athletes)," said Jami L. Hughes, coordinator of intercollegiate athletics and sports information, who also provided the photos above.
