SSN Project Successfully Completed; Old IDs Can Be Destroyed

Information Technology Services announces the successful completion of the yearlong SSN conversion project. With the cooperation of departments across campus, ITS staff were able to complete the final steps over the holiday break. All online systems that previously used Social Security numbers now use the Penn College ID number as the primary identifier of employees and students. More information about how the Penn College ID is used across campus can be found inthis Dec. 6 PCToday article.Students and employees are reminded to carry their new ID cards at all times while on campus. Old cards no longer are valid for campus business purposes and should be destroyed.
