Squirrel Nut Zippers’ Revival Tour Booked for CAC

Squirrel Nut ZippersThe sounds of New Orleans will arrive in Williamsport when Squirrel Nut Zippers join forces with Davina and the Vagabonds to blend blues, jazz and swing influences for an unforgettable musical performance at the Community Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. March 24. Founded by bandleader James “Jimbo” Mathus in 1993, the band made waves throughout the music industry and played a major role in the 1990s swing revival. After a short break, Squirrel Nut Zippers launched a revival in 2007 and came back stronger than ever with notable appearances on “The Tonight Show,” “The Late Show With David Letterman” and on “Conan.” New fans and longtime followers are excited to see the rebirth of this iconic group. Accompanied by the soulful blues band, Davina and the Vagabonds, this show is selling out venues across the U.S. and is sure to be an amazing experience for young and old! Tickets can be purchased at the CAC website, by phone (570-326-2424) or at the box office. Prices range from $22 to $52; student discounts are available.
