SPE Student Chapter Holds Fund-Raiser Pool Tournament


SPE pool tournament participantsThe Penn College student chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers heldits first-ever “World Series of Pool” tournament recently. The16 participants played single-elimination 8-ball in the fund-raising event.

Student Elliott Marchioni, the first-place finisher, won $35 for hisefforts. The second-place finisher, SPE’sfaculty adviser, Timothy Weston, won $20, which he donated back to the organization.

SPE will hold another pool tournament sometime during the currentschool year. With the increased promotion being planned,the chapter hopes to have more participants next time.
