Short-Term Roustabout Training Scheduled at Penn College

Openings remain for a 15-day Ready-to-Work Field Service Worker and Roustabout Training program offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

The short-term, full-time training – which runs from May 23 to June 14 – prepares participants to work in the following industry sectors: energy, construction, warehousing/logistics and manufacturing. Students undergo classroom and hands-on learning from instructors with real-world work experience.

To be considered for training, potential registrants must possess a valid driver’s license and have obtained the minimum of a high school diploma/GED. Pre-training screenings in the form of drug and medical testing, review of driving records, and criminal background checks are conducted.

Tuition assistance may be available; training is delivered by Penn College through its award-winning ShaleNET partnership.

For more information, visit the ShaleNET website or call 570-327-4775. Online registration connects interested individuals to a ShaleNET career counselor.
