Shaun McQuay Named 'Student-Athlete of the Week'

Shaun M. McQuay of Watsontown, a graduate of Warrior Run High School , has been named Pennsylvania College of Technology's first "Student-Athlete of the Week" for Sept. 9-16.
McQuay, a senior aviation student and member of the college's golf team, has had a remarkable start to the Fall 2007 season, taking medalist honors in two Penn State University Athletic Conference tournaments and leading the Wildcats to a 6-0 start that extended their five-season win string to 136-0. McQuay shot a 2-under-par 70 on the tough Mystic Rock Golf Course in Farmington and followed with a 72 at the White Deer Golf Complex.
Each Monday, coaches who are in season nominate a student-athlete from their team. Nominees are then evaluated by the college Athletics Office, which selects the student of the week.
