Services Set for Former Member of Graphic Arts Faculty

The funeral will be Friday for John H. “Jay” Hilsher Jr., a longtime faculty member at Williamsport Area Community College, who died Tuesday, Oct. 31, at age 84. Hilsher headed the printing department as an assistant professor of graphic arts technology at the Penn College predecessor, and owned Hilsher Graphics in South Williamsport for nearly 50 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport, followed by burial at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Crouse’s, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport. A full obituary appears in Wednesday’s Williamsport Sun-Gazette.
