The Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association will present its ninth annual free Statewide Children's Dental Hygiene Sealant Saturday on Feb. 5, with a local clinic at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Dental hygienist and dentist volunteers and Penn College dental hygiene students will provide free oral screening, sealants and education for children ages 7-15 in Penn College's Dental Hygiene Clinic.

Sealants are clear, protective plastic coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to help prevent tooth decay. They will be applied as needed.

Penn College is one of more than 20 Sealant Saturday sites across Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists Association organizes the event to provide free dental hygiene prevention services to underserved children.

Space is limited. Call 570-320-8007 to set up your child's appointment for Sealant Saturday. Call any weekday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
