Penn College welcomed another member into the men's basketball 1,000-point club and bade farewell to three seniors during Thursday night's game against Penn State Beaver. Greg Solyak, an automotive technology management student from Lancaster, recently became the fifth player in college history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. Honored by coach Gene Bruno during the Senior Night portion of the evening were all-time leading scorer Joe Simon, a business administration major from Renovo, who shows "that you can play basketball and still get it done in the classroom;" Mike Knepp, of Pocono Mountain, an ornamental horticulture major and model "for how you should play this game each and every time you go on the court;" and technology management student Kulu Momo, of Franklin Park, N.J., "who has set an example to younger players for what focus and hard work will do for you."
