School Counselors, Teachers Attend Student-Readiness Conference

    Jeannette F. Carter, director of Outreach for K-12, welcomes guests to the College and Career Readiness Conference Counselors head out of the Professional Development Center for a tour of the college's engineering technology majors Todd W. Leister, coordinator of admissions electronic services/admissions representative, leads a panel discussion on the use of social networking in the college searchHigh school counselors and teachers attended the College and Career Readiness Conference at Penn College on Friday. During the event, they discussed what it means for students to be ready for college and prepared to choose a career path, participated in round-table discussions on such topics as helping students navigate financial aid and using social networking to aid in the college search, and took tours of the college's laboratories. The semi-annual event is offered by the college's Outreach for K-12 Office and the Admissions Office.
