Saturday Services Scheduled for Alumnus, Retired Faculty Member


Services will be held Saturday for Fred C. Schaefer Jr., a former full-time faculty member and an alumnus of Penn College’s predecessor, who died Wednesday, April 24. A 1977 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College, he retired in January 1995 as an assistant professor of graphic communication in the School of Integrated Studies after more than two decades of teaching. He was also the adviser to the college’s Gamma Epsilon Tau printing fraternity. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. at Twin Hills Memorial Park, 3332 Lycoming Mall Drive, Muncy, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. in St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1400 Market St.
