Fifth-graders from Salladasburg Elementary School spent Tuesday morning at Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center, enlightened by forest technology students well-versed in a number of outdoor-related topics. Accompanied by parents and teachers from the Jersey Shore Area School District, eight groups of youngsters traveled through a dozen education stations, learning about trees, firefighting and other topics represented by majors in the college’s School of Natural Resources Management.
