Shope confidently wields a pastry bag.Members of the Hospitality Living-Learning Community met for a valentine cupcake- and cookie-decorating event Friday evening, one of the educational and social events planned for them during the school year. The students decorated and packaged a tray of heart-shaped cookies and cupcakes that they were able to share with family and friends. "Not only were they able to use their creativity," said adviser Chef Monica J. Lanczak, instructor of baking and pastry arts/culinary arts, "but they learned a lesson on merchandising, as well."
