Residence Life Honors Its '. . . of the Year' Winners

The Office of Residence Life held its annual end-of-the-year banquet Sunday and honored Nathaniel L. Baum as "Resident Assistant of the Year."
Baum, a technology management major from Elizabethtown and an RA at Penn College for the past three years, was honored for his long track record as a solid performer.
This past year, he stepped up to assume a Senior Resident Assistant position and displayed maturity and dedication in the performance of his job.
In addition to being an RA, Baum served as president of the National Residence Hall Honorary (an organization recognizing the top 1 percent of students living on campus, based upon involvement and service), served as a Student Government Association senator, is a member of Alpha Chi (the honor society for baccalaureate-degree students), is a member of Phi Theta Kappa (an international society for academic achievement), and is a member of Sigma Beta Delta (an honor society for business students).
Also honored:
- Resident Assistants G. Patrick Butler and Erin E. Scott, for their program. "Track Your Trash," a program to encourage students to recycle, which was named "Educational Program of the Year"
- Resident Assistant Abiel B. Harry received the honor of putting together the "Social Program of the Year" with his program, "First Fridays Downtown Tour," designed to familiarize students with the opportunities available to them in the local community
Also at the banquet, outgoing Resident Hall Association President TimothyA. Senavaitis passed on the symbolic gavel to incoming RHA President Jeffrey D. Fisher. Randy H. Mason, the organization's president for the Fall 2004 semester, also was present to share in the honors.
