Is a rewarding career in nursing in your future? The Penn College at Wellsboro Practical Nursing Program is scheduling pre-admission testing for the January session.

All applications are due by Oct. 1 for that next class, and pre-admission testing must be completed before the application process begins.

The yearlong, full-time program – offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology – prepares graduates for career opportunities in area hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, personal-care facilities and human-service organizations.

Students attend classes at Penn College at Wellsboro and have clinical experiences at UPMC facilities, including Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital and The Green Home. Other clinical experiences are obtained at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center and at physician offices throughout the Wellsboro area.

The Penn College at Wellsboro program is fully approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Students who successfully complete the program will be prepared to take the National Council Licensure Exam for licensure as an LPN (NCLEX-PN).
