Rep. Mirabito to Join Penn College Board of Directors


Rep. Rick MirabitoRep. Rick Mirabito, D-Williamsport, has been selected by the state Legislature to serve on the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors.

Mirabito represents the 83rd district in the state House of Representatives, which includes the city of Williamsport and surrounding municipalities. He was elected to his first term in November. His committee assignments in the state House are: Aging and Older Adult Services, Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Commerce, and Finance (for which he serves as secretary).

Mirabito holds a law degree from Boston College Law School. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.

He has served as a law clerk in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and as court counsel to the Supreme Court for the Republic of Palau. He has worked as an attorney and has been a small-business and restaurant owner in the Williamsport area. He and his wife, Sara, reside in Williamsport.

“Rep. Mirabito brings to the board a wide range of knowledge and experience,” said Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour. “He is a welcome addition, and we look forward to his contributions in helping the college fulfill its unique mission.”
