'Relay for Life" Winners Part of $3,100 Fund-Raising Effort

College effort raises %243,117 for 'Relay for Life'Two fund-raising efforts on behalf of this past weekend's "Relay for Life"collectedmore than$3,100 for the American Cancer Society.

Thirty creative gift baskets prepared by faculty/staff and students in various campus offices and organizations raised$2,706 − $2,098 in raffle tickets and $608 from a quarter-a-vote popularity contest − and a memorial quilt made by Penn College alumna and retiree Ann R. Durinzi attracted $411 in ticket sales.

The quilt was won by Davie Jane Gilmour, who donated it back to its creator's family, and the gift baskets were awarded as follows (Penn College employees are listed in boldface; hometowns are listed for other winners):
