Michael Kalin, owner of Biodiesel Pennsylvania Inc., with Mary A. Sullivan, assistant dean of Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Natural Resources Management.Michael Kalin, the owner of Biodiesel Pennsylvania Inc. spoke to Pennsylvania College of Technology's Diesel Equipment Technology Advisory Committee on Thursday night about his company's production of fuel from soybean oil.

The White Deer business, not far from Penn College's Schneebeli Earth Science Center near Allenwood,recently was featured in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette and The (Sunbury) Daily Item.

Biodiesel, already in use due to new emissions regulations and other standards,could help attract student prospects to the School of Natural Resources Management's diesel program.

Joining school officials at the presentation were advisory committee representatives from FYDA Freightliner Inc., Youngstown, Ohio; SUN Area Career and Technology Center, Milton; Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. Inc., Dalmatia; Fairchild Brothers Inc., Winfield; the Wayne Township Landfill, McElhattan; and Highway Equipment and Supply Co., Drums.
