Recipients Chosen for Williamsport Hospital Scholarships

Four students at Pennsylvania College of Technology have been awarded scholarships for Fall 2005 from the Williamsport Hospital Campus of Susquehanna Health System.

Receiving a one-year, full-tuition scholarship is: Ashley R. Boyles, Montoursville, who is enrolled in the radiography major.

Receiving $500 scholarships are: Amanda M. Evelhair, Montoursville, advertising art; Jennifer L. Fry, Muncy, nursing; and Daren R. Hopkins, Liberty, automated manufacturing technology.

Williamsport Hospital awards two full-tuition scholarships annually − one to a female student and one to a male student − enrolled in a School of Health Sciences major at Penn College. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition for one year. To be eligible, students must have been born at Williamsport Hospital, graduate from high school within 12 months of their application and be entering college for the first time. First preference is given to students with a high school grade-point average of 3.0 or greater and to those with a parent, guardian or other close relative employed full-time by Susquehanna Health System. No eligible male students applied this year.

Applicants for the $500 scholarships must have been born at Williamsport Hospital, be graduating (or have graduated) from high school within 12 months of their application and be entering college for the first time. All academic majors at Penn College are eligible.
