Twenty-one graphic design seniors and their faculty members celebrated “Graphic Design 2021” during a private reception held Friday in The Gallery at Penn College. The annual portfolio exhibition showcases the skills of soon-to-be graduates and can be viewed through Friday, May 7, during gallery hours: 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday. The gallery is on the third floor of Madigan Library and follows COVID-19 pandemic safety protocols, including requiring masks and adhering to capacity limits. The exhibit can also be viewed online.

Four seniors in the graphic design major at Pennsylvania College of Technology captured awards in two prestigious design competitions. From left: Ashley Dawnn Thomas Johnson, of Roselle, N.J.; Emma Marie Mercer, of Williamsport; Maya Wynant, of Honey Brook; and Elias D. Ritter, of Willow Grove. Thomas Johnson and Mercer earned honors in the Flux Student Design Competition, and Wynant and Ritter were honored in the American Advertising Federation of Northeast Pennsylvania’s Student American Advertising Awards. Seven Penn College alumni were also recognized.
