PPL Corp. donates chain saw to benefit Forestry Club PPL Corp. recently donated an Echo chain saw to Penn College's Forestry Club for a Spring 2006 fund-raiser, continuing the utility company's historic partnership with the college's School of Natural Resources Management. On hand at the Earth Science Center for the donation were, from left, Dennis F. Ringling, forestry professor; Douglas J. Avellino, a forest technology student from Kulpmont and club vice president; Robert L. Trumpie, club president and a forest technology major from Emporium; Jack E. Fisher, lab assistant for forest technology; and Kevin R. Drewencki, superintendent at PPL's Montour Preserve and a veteran member of the college's Forest Technology Advisory Committee.
