Police Issue Crime Alert After Robbery Report at Off-Campus Apartment

Two Pennsylvania College of Technology students reported being robbed at gunpoint at 12:30 a.m. Thursday at an off-campus apartment in the 1000 block of West Fourth Street, according to a Crime Alert from Penn College Police.

The incident was reported to the Williamsport Bureau of Police,which is investigating. The students were not injured. The suspects were described as five black males wearing black hooded sweatshirts. One of the suspects was armed with what appeared to be an airsoft pistol.

All students, faculty and staff should be alert for suspicious persons and potentially dangerous situations on and off campus. Be security-conscious, and keep doors locked at all times. At night, walk on well-lit sidewalks and walkways. Park as close as possible to any buildings you intend to enter. If possible, walk with another person. Call Penn College Police for an escort, if needed. All crimes should be reported immediately to the police.
