Physician Assistant, Graphic Arts Students Awarded Scholarships

Five Pennsylvania College of Technology students have been awarded scholarships from national organizations.
Physician Assistant Student Awarded National Scholarship
Penn College physician assistant student Todd A. Rudy, of South Williamsport, formerly of Wellsboro, is the recipient of a national scholarship by the Physician Assistant Foundation Board of Trustees. Through the foundation's annual scholarship program, Rudy has been awarded $2,000 toward his college tuition.
Among the criteria for the award are academic record as a physician assistant student, extracurricular activities and future goals as a physician assistant.
Rudy is the first national scholarship recipient for the College's physician assistant major, which is in its second year at the College.
Students enrolled in the major are working toward a bachelor of science degree.
Four Graphic Arts Students Earn National Scholarships
Four graphic arts students at Penn College have been awarded scholarships from the National Scholarship Trust Fund, an arm of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation. The students, selected from a national pool of candidates, will each receive $1,500.
The recipients are:
- Tammy Wiggins, of Kinzers
- Patrick Kleppinger, of Emmaus
- Scott Fry, of Mechanicsburg
- Danny Shambach, Emmaus.
Wiggins and Kleppinger are enrolled in the bachelor degree major of printing and publishing technology. Fry and Shambach are students in the associate degree major of graphic communication.
