Participants in Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week, being held at Penn College through Saturday, mixed facts and fun Wednesday as they took a closer look at the innovative majors and impressive facilities of their host campus. In the PFEW program, business-sponsored high school students (with the help of corporate mentors) form and operate their own companies, complete with quarterly decisions, stockholders meetings, project management sessions and product pitches. The college’s Admissions Office provided the guests with a “degrees that work” overview, followed by a scavenger hunt in which they were time-challenged with questions from faculty and staff – the faster they answered, the faster they could move on to the next station.
