Bryce Jordan, whose seven-year tenure as president of Penn State saw the July 1989 birth of Pennsylvania College of Technology as a special mission affiliate of the university, died Tuesday in Austin, Texas, at the age of 91. Jordan served as president from 1983-90, overseeing a number of milestones – including the creation of Penn College – that are noted in a Penn State News tribute.
