For those who have little or no understanding of the Spanish language and want to learn in a fun and relaxed setting, a Spanish for Fun and Conversation class will be offered at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro.

Classes will be held on Thursdays − from 6:30 to 8 p.m. − Feb. 21 to May 1.

The beginner-level noncredit course will help prepare participants to communicate using everyday conversation in a Spanish-speaking country. Participants will quickly build a vocabulary of useful Spanish phrases so that they'll be able to interact with Spanish speakers at work or during travel. The class will focus on grammar basics and vocabulary, as well as listening and speaking at a basic level.

The instructor for the course is Jennifer Erway, who holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish education and a master's degree in Spanish.

The $129 cost includes a textbook and all course materials. Convenient parking is available at the rear of the building.

Early registration is recommended; class size is limited. For more information, or to register, call the North Campus at (570) 724-7703 before Feb. 14.
