Penn College Women's Soccer Seniors Go Out With a Bang

Kimberly Daley (7) and Samantha Wallish join family and The Wildcat for Senior Day festivities at Thursday's soccer game against Penn State Beaver Seniors Kimberly Daley and Samantha Wallish were honored by the Penn College women's soccer team Thursday night. The four-year members and captains of the team were given a heartfelt speech from the coaching staff prior to the match that referenced the duo's commitment, work ethic and positive attitudes throughout their time on the squad. Despite all of the fanfare, it was what the two did on the field that had had the crowd going wild. Daley netted four goals a season high and Wallish notched one more to lead the team to its 5-0 win over Penn State Beaver. The senior effort snapped a three-game losing streak that saw the Wildcats shut out offensively in all losses. Daley, a striker, ends the season the team's leading scorer with 14 goals; Wallish, a defender, closes her season total with three. Daley is a residential construction technology and management major from Springfield Center, N.Y. Wallish, a civil engineering technology major, hails from Harrisburg. Photo by Michael S.
