Penn College to Offer Open House on Oct. 23


Student-led tours are among the highlights of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Open House, scheduled for Oct. 23.Prospective students, their families and friends will enjoy an opportunity to explore academic programs, student life, and campus facilities and services when Pennsylvania College of Technology holds an Open House on Sunday, Oct. 23.

The event will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the main campus in Williamsport; free transportation will be provided to and from the college’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center near Allenwood and the Lumley Aviation Center at the Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville.

“Open House is an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their parents to learn about our hands-on approach to learning in which students work with experienced faculty and the latest equipment and technologies and to understand why a Penn College education is a great value,” said Dennis L. Correll, associate dean for admissions and financial aid. “The entire campus is open everything from labs, classrooms, dining facilities and residence halls will be available for visitors to experience.”

Open House visitors may participate in a variety of activities at Penn College, a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University:

  • Attend information sessions to learn more about the admissions process, financial aid, and academic programs and procedures
  • Attend a “Choosing Your Major” session for help with selecting a career path
  • Tour the campus and view the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
  • Meet with faculty and school deans to learn more about academic majors representing more than 100 career areas
  • Interact with current students and learn more about student organizations and campus life at Penn College
